Neurological Physiotherapy
Neurological physiotherapy treats people who have a neurological disorder. Neurological disorders affect the brain, spinal cord and nerves; such as stroke, MS and Parkinson's disease.
When the nervous system is injured muscles may feel weak and flaccid or very tight with spasms or tremor and movement can be uncoordinated. Speech and swallowing problems as well as altered sensation may also occur along with the movement disorders.
Treatment utilises methods to overcome your physical problems, for example balance, strengthening, and postural exercises.
